I'm a Scottish creator, maker and communicator, living, working and playing on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ nations — also known as Victoria, BC.
Most of my experience has been in marketing and communications — spanning web development, videography, digital marketing, writing and creative strategy. I've worked in-house for companies big and small, as a freelancer, voluntarily, and just for the fun of it.
I'm interested in, and passionate about, individuation, soulful creativity and social justice. I'm happiest when all three inform what I'm working on.

amor & echo is a love and legacy video production company set up to help couples capture their ceremonies, and families remember the wisdom of their elders.
ogsm.io is a strategic planning web app I built to help small business owners create an OGSM — an objectives, goals, strategies and measures framework used by Fortune 500 companies since the 1950s.
Most small business owners don't have the time or budget for a traditional strategy consultation — but the underlying conversation is valuable. Could I package that back-and-forth into ten minutes, free, with a real deliverable at the end?
Visitors land on a simple page, click into a chat, and have a short conversation about their business — what they do, who they serve, what's working, what they want to build toward. At the end, they get a one-page OGSM they can download as a PDF, and I email them a copy so they don't lose it.
The app is a Next.js frontend running on Node, served by Nginx (with TLS) on a single self-managed Ubuntu VPS. A PostgreSQL database on the same box stores sessions. The conversation itself runs through the Claude API — Claude handles the discovery questions, interprets answers, and writes the strategy.
When a session wraps, the app fires a webhook into n8n, which orchestrates PDF generation and hands delivery off to SendGrid (with full SPF, DKIM and DMARC) for the email and a light follow-up drip over the following days.
The whole stack is intentionally boring — no serverless, no Kubernetes, no managed platform. Just a handful of well-understood pieces wired together so it's easy to reason about and trivial to run.

CanRank Converter is a free web app I built to help SEO professionals quickly convert the images on their website from JPEGs and PNGs to WebP, improving site load times and search rankings.
The tool takes an Excel file containing image URLs (typically exported from tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SEMrush), automatically converts each image to WebP, and returns a zip file of the converted images along with an updated Excel file listing every new filename.
Convert your images to WebP in seconds. Upload the Excel report from your SEO or SEM agency, and the tool automatically converts every JPG and PNG to WebP — the modern format that makes sites faster and rank better. Up to 70% smaller file sizes, faster page load speeds, and better Core Web Vitals scores.
The app is a Python web app built with Flask, served in production by Gunicorn and managed by systemd so it restarts itself if anything falls over. Nginx sits in front as a reverse proxy, with HTTPS via a free Let's Encrypt certificate installed through Certbot.
Image processing is handled by Pillow, and the Excel files are parsed with Pandas and OpenPyXL. The whole thing runs on a single Hostinger KVM 1 VPS with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
